Why did I set up shinjin?
Picture this:
You’re presenting in an important meeting, and although you’re well prepared, you can’t help but feel a little nervous.
You feel your body reacting, underarms twitching a little.
You stumble a bit your opening statement.
Some people in the room begin to look bored.
You take a breath, recover a little, and go along with the script.
You seem to be hitting your stride, but all of a sudden, you start to feel a little hot, and realize that you are beginning to sweat.
You move your hands around, and realize that you have sweat patches.
You get more nervous and break your stride, stumbling towards the finish line.
Your friends ask some helpful questions, which you answer confidently, helping you regain your composure.
The mood begins to lighten, and you end strongly by confidently answering questions from the audience.
The meeting still goes fine, but it could have been so much better.
I’ve faced this type of situation many, many times in my career. I’ve tried many different types of deodorant and antiperspirant, but they haven’t really worked for me. Some of them have even left lasting stains on my clothes after failing to stop sweat, adding insult to injury. It feels unfair that my body fights against what I am trying to do, and there is nothing I can buy that really helps me.
This is why I want to create a company that will help people in similar situations. Let me know if you’ve faced similar situations before, and how you think we may be able to help.
